ST213ABC Automatic compaction density meter

The ST213A/B/C automatic compaction density meter is designed and manufactured according to the technical requirements and relevant regulations of the 2025 Pharmacopoeia 0993 compaction density determination method, and is mainly suitable for measuring the compaction density of powders.

Working principle: The vibrating density tester fixes the powder measuring cylinder on a mechanical vibration device, and the vibration motor drives the mechanical vibration device to vibrate up and down. The scale test tube containing powder vibrates rhythmically with the mechanical vibration device. As the number of vibrations increases, the powder in the measuring cylinder gradually compacts. After the set number of vibrations, the mechanical vibration device stops vibrating and reads the volume of the scale test tube. According to the definition of density: mass divided by volume, the density of the compacted powder is calculated.

This instrument complies with the standard requirements of USP (United States Pharmacopeia), BP (British Pharmacopoeia), EP (European Pharmacopoeia), and GB/T 5162-2020/ISO3953:1993 (Determination of Solid Density of Metal Powder), and covers all indicators in the national standard GB/T 5162-2020/ISO3953:1993.

Main technical parameters:

● The single vibration frequency is specified as 3000 times in the national standard, with an error of less than 1 time per 10000 times.

● Other requirements: The environment should be clean and free of smoke and dust, and there should be no mechanical vibration or electromagnetic interference sources around

● Various non-metallic powders: such as talc, kaolin, calcium carbonate, coal powder, fluorescent powder, brucite, calcite, wollastonite, tourmaline, diamond, barite, fluorite, zeolite, boron carbide, graphite, quartz, gypsum powder, bentonite, diatomaceous earth, zirconium silicate, corundum, mica, clay, titanium dioxide, etc.

● Other powders: such as soil, dyes, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, abrasives, coatings, food additives, catalysts, cement, sediment, etc.

Selection of measuring cylinder

The powder density tester is equipped with three different sizes of measuring cylinders: 25ml, 50ml, and 100ml (see attachment). To improve the accuracy of the test, please choose a suitable measuring cylinder based on the weight (m) and bulk density (ρ) of the tested powder.

Note: To improve testing accuracy, please choose a measuring cylinder with a smaller volume
