SH709 Petroleum product mercaptan sulfur tester

The SH709 mercaptan sulfur analyzer meets standards such as GB/T 1792 and ASTM D3227. Applicable to the determination of mercaptan sulfur in jet fuel, gasoline, kerosene, and light diesel without hydrogen sulfide. The determination of mercaptan sulfur is of great significance in evaluating the odor of jet fuel, gasoline, kerosene, and light diesel, its adverse effects on rubber components of fuel systems, and its corrosion to fuel systems.

The automatic mercaptan sulfur tester adopts the measurement principle of Potentiometric titration. Dissolve the hydrogen sulfide free sample in isopropanol solvent of Sodium acetate, conduct potential titration with Silver nitrate alcohol Standard solution, use pH glass electrode as reference electrode, mercaptan sulfur electrode as indicator electrode, and the potential jump between the two electrodes indicates the titration end point. During the titration process, mercaptan sulfur precipitates into mercaptan silver.
